- MD/DNB in Paediatrics (Compulsory)
- Certified in Paediatric BLS and ALS (Essential)
- Diploma/Fellowship in Paediatric Critical Care (Desirable/Optional)
About the Role
The Clinical Associate will join the 9-bedded POCC-U, part of the 50-bedded Paediatric Haematology-Oncology Department, managing ~200 complex admissions annually. The role involves providing critical care for children with oncologic emergencies, postoperative complications, multi-organ dysfunction, and HSCT-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily patient assessments, implement treatment plans, and document clinical progress
- Respond to pediatric emergencies, including resuscitation and Code Blue events
- Assist or perform procedures: intubation, central/arterial lines, intercostal drains, dialysis catheters
- Provide procedural sedation and transport critically ill children safely
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support families with empathy
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and academic/research activities
