CVS Health Careers: Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active, unrestricted State Medical License
- Active DEA license
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred:
- Fellowship training or experience in Geriatrics
- Experience in value-based healthcare models
- Outpatient primary care experience
- Collaborative team-based care experience
- Spanish language proficiency
About the Role
The primary care physician will provide comprehensive outpatient care to Medicare patients at a single medical center. Supported by multidisciplinary care teams, physicians can focus on delivering personalized, high-quality care rather than high patient volumes. Exceptional candidates may also be considered for Center Medical Director responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in an outpatient primary care setting
- Deliver preventive, chronic, and acute medical care
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Canopy and Greenway systems
- Collaborate with care teams, practice managers, and leadership to achieve quality goals
- Support a patient-centered, outcomes-driven care approach
