Healthcare Job: Qualifications
- MD/MS or equivalent in General Surgery
- MCh in Plastic Surgery from a recognized institute
- Valid Medical Council of India / State Medical Council registration
- Relevant clinical experience in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Strong organizational, time-management, and clinical decision-making skills
About the Role
The Senior Resident – Plastic Surgery will play a key role in delivering high-quality surgical care, supporting consultants during procedures, and managing patients across pre-operative and post-operative phases. The role also involves academic participation, research activities, and mentoring junior medical staff, ensuring comprehensive departmental support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in major and minor plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-operative patient evaluations and post-operative care management
- Perform minor surgical procedures under appropriate supervision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans
- Participate in departmental research, audits, and academic initiatives
- Support teaching and training of junior residents and interns
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to patient safety protocols
