Job Description
Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Program Officer to join the team in Delhi. This BDS job focuses on strengthening Human Resources for Health (HRH) initiatives and supporting national and state-level health programs. The role involves close coordination with government stakeholders and internal teams to ensure effective implementation of maternal and child health initiatives, making it a valuable MPH job and public health opportunity in Delhi.
Key Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of the Policy Advisor to support the development of a strong and competent HRH nationwide
- Liaise with government officials and other stakeholders to achieve program goals and respond promptly to their requests
- Provide technical support and build the capacity of the staff at HRH intervention sites to achieve project goals
- Report on project-related indicators, baselines, and targets to meet state and donor requirements
- Develop and produce documents such as reports, success stories, procurement plans, and concept notes based on the program needs of nursing and midwifery
- Ensure smooth implementation of the annual work plan as per agreed deliverables
- Perform other activities assigned by the supervisor to support organizational objectives
- Support the HRH team in developing a report on labor market analysis for nurses and midwives, and a roadmap for nursing and midwifery in India
- Supportthe HRH team in various programmatic activities and specific key stakeholder engagements
- Assist the team in planning workshops, consultations, and capacity-building events as per the specific needs of the HRH team
