Job Description:
This Medical Science Liaison Job is designed for professionals who engage with Scientific Experts (SEs) requiring advanced, cutting-edge medical and scientific information. The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) program supports these needs through a field-based team with deep expertise in oncology, disease states, Lilly products, competitor compounds, and therapeutic advancements. By enabling scientific exchange between industry and the medical community, this role contributes directly to Lilly’s research and commercialization strategy, positioning it among the most impactful roles offered under Lilly Careers India.
Qualifications:
- Prior Medical Science Liaison or field-based oncology experience preferred
- Advanced degree in health sciences (MD) with 2–3 years of relevant experience
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in health sciences with 5+ years of clinical, research, or industry experience may be considered
- Strong curiosity and passion for science and medicine
- Ability to analyze and communicate complex scientific data clearly
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and networking skills
- Advanced presentation, literature review, and computer proficiency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and communicate deep scientific expertise in oncology through continuous learning
- Serve as a trusted, unbiased scientific resource for medical and clinical stakeholders
- Engage scientific experts using strong emotional intelligence and customer insight
- Act as a key interface between Lilly medical teams and external scientific experts
- Deliver advanced disease-state and product-related scientific information
- Identify opportunities for research collaboration and external partnerships
- Communicate clinical insights and unmet needs to cross-functional teams
- Contribute actively to medical planning and strategic initiatives within Lilly India
- Manage territory planning, prioritization, and execution effectively across regions
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations
