The integrated Oncology facility is equipped with modern infrastructure, highly trained professionals, and advanced medical equipment. The hospital has a capacity of 437 beds and serves all sections of society, with 75% of its infrastructure dedicated to subsidized treatment for underprivileged patients. It provides a wide spectrum of services, including diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation, and palliative care.

Job Description:
This medical oncology job offers strong exposure to patient care, multidisciplinary tumor boards, clinical trials, and translational research. The department actively participates in real-world data reviews and collaborative research initiatives. There is also an active Immuno-Oncology working group within the hospital.
The Medical Oncology department has been running National Board accredited super-specialty training in Medical Oncology since 2019. It currently conducts more than 15 Phase II and Phase III clinical trials along with investigator-initiated studies. Consultants and fellows regularly publish research in national and international indexed journals.
Qualifications:
- MD/DNB with three-year fellowship programme in Medical Oncology OR
- Fresh DM/DNB in Medical Oncology
Key Responsibilities:
- Look after in-patients and out-patients who are under the treatment of Medical Oncology.
- Attend to emergency patients under Medical Oncology who present to the emergency department during daytime.
- Conduct daily clinical rounds in the in-patient department along with consultants of the Medical Oncology team.
- Understand the care needs of patients being discharged and help set up an outpatient treatment plan after discharge.
- Communicate effectively with patients and family members regarding treatment and care plans.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Surgical Oncology, Paediatric Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Palliative Medicine.
- Engage in departmental audit and research activities.
- Participate in night calls on a shared rota (around once a week or less) for palliative medicine and allied specialties.
