Job Description:
The Senior Registrar Job at Narayana Health offers an opportunity to work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), managing critically ill patients and collaborating with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams. Candidates joining through Narayana Health Careers will contribute to emergency response systems, mentor junior doctors, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while advancing their expertise in critical care medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage critically ill patients admitted to the MICU.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Supervise junior doctors, residents, and interns.
- Coordinate patient management with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform ICU procedures, including:
- Central venous catheter insertion.
- Arterial line placement.
- Endotracheal intubation.
- Mechanical ventilation management.
- Bedside ultrasonography (if trained).
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and code blue situations.
- Interpret laboratory, radiological, and hemodynamic data.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and discharge summaries.
- Participate in ward rounds, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Teach and mentor junior medical professionals and students.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
Educational Requirements for a Senior Registrar Job:
