About the Role:
Continental Hospitals is looking for a highly skilled MCh Surgical Gastroenterologist with expertise in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Robotic Surgery, and Liver Transplantation. The ideal candidate should have 5–6 years of post-MCh experience from a high-volume tertiary care institute and be committed to delivering world-class patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver diseases.
- Independently perform advanced laparoscopic GI procedures.
- Perform and assist in robotic gastrointestinal surgeries.
- Participate in living donor and deceased donor liver transplant programs.
- Manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care of GI and liver transplant patients in this Gastroenterology Surgeon Job in Hyderabad.
- Work closely with Hepatologists, Medical Gastroenterologists, Intensivists, Interventional Radiologists, and Anaesthesiologists in multidisciplinary patient care.
- Participate in transplant evaluation meetings, tumour boards, morbidity and mortality meetings, and departmental academic activities at Continental Hospitals.
- Mentor residents and fellows and contribute to teaching, research, and publications.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives.
Educational Requirements for the Gastroenterology Surgeon Job:
- MBBS
- MS General Surgery
- MCh (Mandatory)
- Fellowship/Hands-on experience in Liver Transplantation and Robotic Surgery will be preferred.
Experience Required:
- 5–6 years of post-MCh experience.
- Experience from a high-volume tertiary care institute with significant exposure to:
- Advanced GI Surgery
- Minimally Invasive & Laparoscopic Surgery
- Robotic GI Surgery
- Liver Transplant Surgery
- HPB (Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary) Surgery
Preferred Skills:
- Strong operative skills in complex GI and HPB procedures.
- Experience in donor hepatectomy and liver transplant surgery is desirable.
- Excellent clinical judgment and patient management skills.
- Research publications and academic contributions will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
