Job Description:

The Additional Director General will lead the Intramural Research wing at ICMR Headquarters in New Delhi. This role involves overseeing research projects, managing teams, and ensuring the successful execution of biomedical research initiatives. Candidates should possess a strong background in biomedical sciences and relevant managerial experience, making this a pivotal position in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage R&D projects within the Intramural Research wing.
  • Lead teams of researchers and scientists to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international research standards.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in the biomedical research community.
  • Develop strategic plans for research initiatives and funding.
  • Monitor and evaluate research outcomes and impact.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior researchers and promote a culture of innovation.

Eligibility Criteria for the Medical Research Job:

  • MD/MS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC, or MBBS with MPH, or a Master’s Degree in a related field with a Ph.D.
  • Minimum 17 years of experience, including 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience in handling R&D projects independently.
  • Upper age limit is 60 years for direct recruits; 58 years for deputation.
