Job Description:
The selected candidate for this Senior Resident Job will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients within intensive care settings. Responsibilities involve patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, continuous monitoring, ventilator management and responding to medical emergencies.
The Senior Resident will also work closely with consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate multidisciplinary treatment while following evidence-based critical-care and infection-control protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage critically ill patients in intensive care settings.
- Develop and support appropriate treatment and monitoring plans.
- Manage ventilated patients and life-support systems.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and deterioration in patient condition.
- Participate in clinical rounds and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Coordinate patient management with consultants and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and medical documentation.
- Follow evidence-based critical-care and infection-control protocols.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality-improvement activities.
- Support and mentor junior residents where required.
Eligibility Criteria for this Senior Resident Job:
- Strong clinical skills in internal medicine or anaesthesia with hands-on experience in critical care or intensive care units.
- Proficiency in managing life-support systems, ventilators, and advanced monitoring equipment.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound knowledge of evidence-based medicine and clinical protocols relevant to critical care.
