Job Description:
The Medical Advisor – Ideation & Portfolio Development will provide scientific and clinical leadership for the identification, evaluation, differentiation, and development of new product opportunities across therapeutic areas. This role involves close collaboration with Portfolio, R&D, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate pipeline opportunities through comprehensive assessments of scientific literature, clinical evidence, treatment guidelines, and competitive intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously evaluate the global pharmaceutical and clinical development landscape to identify potential new product opportunities.
- Conduct structured searches across scientific literature, clinical trial registries, regulatory databases, and treatment guidelines.
- Generate scientifically differentiated product concepts based on clinical need and emerging evidence in the Medical Advisor Job in Mumbai.
- Lead comprehensive medical evaluation of pipeline opportunities in collaboration with the Portfolio team.
- Work closely with the Portfolio/Business Development teams to assess internal and external product opportunities at Dr Reddy’s Laboratories.
- Provide medical input into the development of novel formulations and patient-centric product features.
- Support medical readiness during the pre-launch phase and ensure structured handover of scientific strategy to Medical Affairs and launch teams.
Eligibility Criteria for the Medical Advisor Job:
- MBBS with M.D. Pharmacology/Medicine or a full-time postgraduate qualification in an appropriate medical discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs, Portfolio Evaluation, Clinical Development, or related roles.
- Experience in scientific evaluation of pipeline assets or new product ideation is preferred.
