Job Description:
The Manager – Clinical Documentation Integrity will play a crucial role in coordinating workflow for Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) staff, assisting in training and orientation, and ensuring quality audits. This position requires a proactive approach to enhance clinical documentation practices and support overall improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the CDI program lead India (Associate Director) in driving workflow for CDI staff.
- Assist and coordinate with CDI staff training and orientation.
- Assist CDI program lead India with chart audits, quality audit, and KPI audits.
- Ensure adequate staffing for the workload and assist teams when necessary.
- Develop physician teaching and presentations as needed.
- Provide evaluations regularly to maintain team quality in the Corporate Healthcare Job in Chennai.
- Oversee that CDI staff provide expert-level review of inpatient clinical records within 24-48 hours of admission at Optum Careers.
- Engage with Quality Management teams to evaluate and spearhead clinical documentation improvement opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria for the Corporate Healthcare Job:
- MBBS (Indian or Foreign Medical Graduate).
- 1+ years of experience in corporate, especially US healthcare.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and work-related software.
Required Skills for the Corporate Healthcare Job:
- MBBS (Indian/FMG) degree.
- Supervisor or management experience.
- Experience in case management and/or critical care.
- Experience with EHR/EMR.
- Proven ability to manage projects with complex responsibilities and timelines.
