Job Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Anesthesiologist role based at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad. The Anesthesiologist will assess patients pre-operatively, determine appropriate anesthesia plans, and manage anesthesia during surgical and diagnostic procedures. Daily responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, maintaining airway and hemodynamic stability, and overseeing post-anesthesia recovery and pain control. The role involves close collaboration with surgeons, critical care teams, nurses, and other specialists to ensure safe, evidence-based perioperative care. The Anesthesiologist will also participate in emergency response, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and adhere to institutional protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients pre-operatively and determine appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Manage anesthesia during surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and maintain airway and hemodynamic stability.
- Oversee post-anesthesia recovery and pain control.
- Collaborate with surgeons, critical care teams, and nursing staff.

Eligibility Criteria for the Anesthesiologist Job:
- Strong expertise in Anesthesiology, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, and post-operative care.
- Solid foundation in Medicine and Surgery to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary clinical settings.
- Competence in Pain Management, including acute post-operative pain.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and post-graduate qualification in Anesthesiology (MD / DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration.
- Demonstrated adherence to patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to function under pressure in high-acuity environments.
- Prior experience in tertiary care or high-volume hospitals is preferred; familiarity with advanced monitoring and anesthesia equipment is an advantage.
