Job Description:
The Clinical Research Medical Advisor will provide country-level clinical and medical leadership for Novartis clinical development programs by driving protocol feasibility, investigator engagement, recruitment strategy, and high-quality trial execution. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to expedite the delivery of innovative medicines to patients while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. This position requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex clinical landscapes and ensure that trials are conducted efficiently and ethically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess if clinical trial plans meet patient needs and align with existing studies.
- Facilitate the rapid initiation of trials by providing scientific and medical insights.
- Provide clinical guidance to teams and sites regarding trial processes and regulations.
- Engage with key experts and authorities to ensure trial success.
- Develop strategies to address recruitment and data challenges in trials.
- Enhance understanding of disease areas and deliver training to teams.
- Improve patient recruitment using innovative methods and insights.
- Collaborate with various departments to support trial execution and strategy.
- Ensure patient safety and data quality by overseeing safety activities and compliance.
- Lead clinical activities and support inspections and innovative study designs.
Eligibility Criteria for this Clinical Research Job:
- MBBS with an M.D. highly preferred; subspecialty training and/or Real-World Evidence (RWE) experience is advantageous.
- 1-3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical development or clinical practice, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end drug development process.
- Solid understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines, clinical research regulations, patient safety requirements, and clinical trial conduct standards.
- Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams, manage scientific and operational complexities, delegate effectively, and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Demonstrated capability to solve complex clinical and operational challenges, adapt across therapeutic areas, and deliver high-quality scientific presentations and training.
