Job Description:
The Medical Writer will report to the editorial lead and will be responsible for developing high-quality scientific publications for MIMS MedComms clients. This role focuses on peer-reviewed manuscripts, congress abstracts, posters, oral presentation materials, and related scientific communications. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of publications writing experience and a desire to deepen their expertise in ethical and transparent medical publication practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scientifically accurate, well-structured publication content for peer-reviewed journals and congresses.
- Work from clinical data, literature, and client briefs to prepare clear publication drafts.
- Support publication development in line with established industry standards.
- Conduct targeted literature reviews and quality control to ensure scientific accuracy.
- Prepare publication outlines, drafts, and submission-ready materials under guidance.
- Coordinate comments from authors and clients, ensuring revisions are addressed accurately in the Non-Clinical Job.
- Maintain awareness of journal and congress requirements.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to support efficient publication delivery.
Eligibility Criteria for the Medical Writer Job:
- Graduate degree in medicine or a related scientific discipline; a higher degree is advantageous.
- At least one year of experience writing or contributing to peer-reviewed publications.
- Candidates with over four years of experience will be evaluated for the Senior Medical Writer position.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear scientific content for publication outputs.
- Working knowledge of publication ethics and industry expectations.
- Ability to interpret clinical information and present complex data concisely.
- Strong attention to detail and project discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with publication tools is advantageous.
