Job Description:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a key member of the affiliate medical department, focusing on medical and scientific engagement with AbbVie stakeholders. This role involves supporting thought leaders and facilitating dialogue about AbbVie’s marketed products and compounds in development, ensuring compliance with applicable national laws and regulations. The MSL enhances AbbVie’s scientific credibility by supporting scientific dialogue and collaborations in research and medical exchange.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent AbbVie Medical Affairs as a subject matter expert in oncology, providing scientific and technical leadership to establish credible relationships with external experts.
- Serve as a point of contact for external experts within an assigned geographic area, satisfying their needs for scientific knowledge in the therapeutic area.
- Develop and execute scientific interaction plans and contribute to cross-functional account planning.
- Ensure appropriate tiering and segmentation of external experts and document interactions in relevant systems.
- Facilitate research and educational initiatives in key academic centres.
- Support internal teams by delivering scientific update presentations.
- Develop therapy advocates through continuous scientific engagements.
- Assist in the initiation and oversight of assigned studies and medical projects.
Eligibility Criteria for the Remote MSL Jobs:
- Candidates with MBBS and MD are preferred. Candidates with an undergraduate degree and relevant experience in oncology may be considered.
- MDS/BDS/Pharm. D graduates with at least 4 years of experience as MSL in the oncology therapy area can be considered.
- Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs.
- Demonstrated expertise in scientific methods applied to clinical research.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
