Job Description
The role is an on-site clinical GP position supporting immigration/visa medical examinations rather than a sales or non-clinical posting.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete the physical examination of visa applicants as per the checklist and provide recommendations and findings as per the agreed process with utmost accuracy.
- Provide health education to patients.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialised medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury as per process.
- Fill all relevant details in EMR reports depending upon agreed formats.
- Declare a patient fit or unfit by ordering and interpreting tests and by analysing records, reports and examination information.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
- Collect, record and maintain patient information (medical history, reports, examination results) through the clinical management system.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients if required.
- Coordinate work with nurses and other health-care providers.
- Ensure MIS reports are shared with concerned teams as per agreed timelines and standards/formats.
- Handle emergencies.
Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS with a minimum 1–2 years of experience for a GP role, with team-management experience, is needed for the Stemz Kochi general practitioner position.
- Proficient in computers (word processing and spreadsheets).
Required Skills

Additional Information
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Centre Manager (or as strategy may change). The person may have approximately 1–3 direct reports.
Performance Metrics: Turnaround time, total time at each level of customer interaction, waiting time as per agreed level, on-time report approval (all medical reports reviewed and rated as per SLA), final fit/unfit declaration as per agreed timeline, daily report update/upload with no backlogs (including tests from the night before), appropriate guidance on abnormal reports so checks are completed in advance, and appropriate reporting of general-physician examination as per process.
Customer Service and Conduct: Adherence to policies and procedures, code of conduct, and behavioural standards (collaboration, timekeeping, ownership of assigned tasks, ability to take additional responsibilities).
