About the Department & Research Project
The Department of Chemistry at IIT Kanpur is renowned for its advanced research in chemical sciences, molecular systems, medicinal chemistry, and materials research. This position is part of the project titled “Cellular Accumulation and Endoplasmic Reticulum Localized IrIII Complexes as Efficient Photodynamic Therapy Agents.” The project focuses on developing and evaluating iridium(III)-based complexes for targeted photodynamic therapy, involving interdisciplinary work in medicinal chemistry, cellular studies, and molecular research.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess any one of the following with 55% marks and must have qualified NET-LS or GATE:
- MBBS
- Integrated B.S.–M.S.
- OR any equivalent degree as recognised
Job Responsibilities
- Conducting research experiments as per project objectives
- Planning and executing project-related activities
- Data analysis, documentation, and maintaining research records
- Preparing progress reports, manuscripts, and presentations
- Supporting the PI in project-related scientific tasks
