AstraZeneca Careers Qualification:
Essential
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Role:
The regional medical advisor serves as a field-based scientific expert responsible for executing the Medical Affairs Plans for new and upcoming products. The role involves shaping clinical practice through scientific exchange and partnership with healthcare professionals, policymakers, medical organizations, and ecosystem stakeholders. RMAs act as catalysts in improving patient outcomes by driving strategic, scalable, and sustainable clinical practice transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Expertise
- Maintain deep scientific understanding of disease areas, AstraZeneca products, emerging therapies & competitive landscape.
- Lead and contribute to the Field Medical Strategic Plan (FMSP).
- Support internal teams through training, scientific updates & mentoring.
Scientific Exchange
- Engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions with healthcare professionals and key external experts (KEEs).
- Deliver clinical/scientific content through multiple channels (in-person, digital, hybrid).
- Respond to unsolicited medical queries with balanced, evidence-based information.
- Organize and facilitate MSL events, symposiums, advisory boards, expert panels & educational sessions.
- Support investigator-sponsored studies, local clinical research & publications.
Other Responsibilities
- Leverage digital and innovative technologies for scientific exchange.
- Ensure compliance with ethical interaction policies, pharmacovigilance, GxP & regulatory requirements.
- Support internal SOPs and contribute to high standards of medical governance.
