Job Title: Project Research Scientist-I (Medical)
Location: Kochi, Kerala
Job Description:
The Department of Public Health Dentistry is inviting applications for the role of Project Research Scientist-I (Medical) for the NHRPโICMR project ANANT MUSKAAN. The selected candidate will work on Primary School-based Tooth Brushing and Oral Health Education at the Cochin site.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BDS/MBBS with a masterโs degree in public health OR MDS (Public Health Dentistry) OR MD (Community Medicine) from a recognized university.
- Three years of work experience from a recognized institution.
Desirable Qualifications:
- PhD in Public Health or related subjects
- Proficiency in Malayalam language (essential for community engagement)
- Five original research publications in indexed journals
Desirable Experience:
- Experience inย project management and coordination.
- Proficient in designing and conductingย epidemiological and interventional/community studies.
- Strongย data management, analysis, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency inย computer applications, including Microsoft Office, statistical software, and working with databases
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinateย multi-centric field studies.
- Oversee the overall implementation of the project at the Cochin site.
- Convene and document project meetings; coordinate with site investigators and research institutes.
- Independently manage and analyzeย public health research data.
- Supervise and coordinate with other project staff.
- Support the PI in strategic decision-making, reporting, and stakeholder communication and proposal writing skills.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator or competent authority
Important Details:
- Remuneration: โน67,000/- per month + HRA @ 18%
- Tenure: Initially for 11 months, extendable up to 2 years based on performance
- Upper Age Limit: 40 years (relaxation applicable as per rules)
