Job Description:
The selected candidate for this Cardiologist Job will work with the Medpace Core Labs team on the technical and medical aspects of cardiac assessments performed for clinical studies.
A major component of the role involves blinded independent central review of EKGs and cardiac imaging according to study endpoints defined in clinical trial protocols and charters.
The Cardiologist will perform these assessments in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements and applicable Medpace SOPs while also contributing to quality and consistency initiatives within the Core Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Core Lab management on technical aspects of cardiac study assessments.
- Conduct blinded independent central reviews of EKGs and cardiac imaging.
- Evaluate cardiac data according to endpoints specified in clinical trial protocols and study charters.
- Perform cardiac assessments in accordance with GCP requirements and Medpace SOPs.
- Interpret EKG and relevant cardiac imaging data for clinical studies.
- Participate in IntraReader variability assessments.
- Participate in InterReader variability assessments.
- Support consistency and quality across cardiac Core Lab assessments.
- Participate in the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Evaluate and contribute to study-specific procedures and documentation.
- Collaborate with Core Lab teams to support cardiac components of clinical research studies.
Eligibility Criteria for this Cardiologist Job:
- Must have an M.D. or equivalent training.
- Experience with EKG and most cardiac imaging modalities and expertise interpreting EKG, Holter-EKG, and one or more cardiac imaging modality and therapeutic application.
- Experience with various EKG and cardiac image analysis and viewing software (including PACS).
- Experience working with computer software including Word, Excel, Access, and Project preferred.
- Board Eligibility in Cardiology or equivalent training demonstrating competency.
