Job Description:

The Clinical Informatics Officer will play a crucial role in architecting a paperless Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, enhancing research infrastructure, and ensuring data standards governance at the Bagchi-Parthasarathy Hospital. This position involves collaborating with clinicians and researchers to develop advanced data repositories and streamline clinical workflows, thereby contributing significantly to the evolving landscape of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Hospital Architecture: Architecting paperless EHR, PACS, and CPOE pathways for the Bagchi-Parthasarathy Hospital.
  • Research Infrastructure: Connecting clinical environments with IISc’s science and engineering labs to support MD-PhD research programs.
  • Data Standards Governance: Enforcing global data standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM) to ensure clean analytics pipelines.
  • AI & Precision Medicine: Developing data repositories for advanced genomics, targeted oncology, and digital diagnostics.
  • Clinical Workflow Bridge: Collaborating directly with clinicians, faculty researchers, and IT teams to eliminate digital friction.

Eligibility Criteria for this Clinical Informatics Officer Job:

  • Clinical Foundation: An MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Specialized Expertise: A Master’s/PhD in Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: Preferably over 5 years leading EHR implementations, medical data governance, or digital health systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with healthcare interoperability standards, clinical databases, and data visualization.
