Job Description:
ICON plc is looking for a Drug Safety Physician to provide medical and safety support to the activities of ICON Project Teams. The role ensures that projects are conducted according to the highest ethical principles and medical standards, in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical and safety support to ICON Project Teams.
- Review coding (e.g., MedDRA) and assess Adverse Events and Adverse Drug Reactions.
- Review aggregated reports in terms of product safety profiles.
- Assess safety issues arising in clinical trials and escalate them to the line manager.
- Provide support and training in regulatory requirements for reporting AEs/ADRs.
- Participate in project-related meetings and communicate with clients.
- Assist in the preparation and conduct of code-break activities.
- Provide input and consultancy on product information and safety data.
Eligibility Criteria for the Drug Safety Physician Job:
- Qualified and licensed physician with 2-3 years of patient diagnosis and treatment experience in a hospital-based setup.
- Prior experience in clinical research or pharmacovigilance is an advantage.
