Job Description:
The Drug Safety Physician will provide medical and safety support to ICON Project Teams, ensuring that projects adhere to the highest ethical principles and medical standards, in compliance with GCP and good pharmacovigilance practices. The role involves reviewing adverse events, aggregated reports, and providing assessments of safety issues arising in clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical and safety support to ensure compliance with ethical and medical standards.
- Review coding and assess adverse events and adverse drug reactions.
- Review aggregated reports regarding product safety profiles in the Non-Clinical Job.
- Assess safety issues in clinical trials and escalate them as necessary.
- Provide training on regulatory requirements for reporting adverse events.
- Communicate with clients according to project-specific procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and conduct of code-break activities.
- Provide consultancy on the generation of product information and safety data sheets.
Eligibility Criteria for the Drug Safety Physician Job:
- Qualified and licensed physician with 2-3 years of patient diagnosis and treatment experience in a hospital-based setup.
- Prior experience in clinical research or pharmacovigilance is preferred.
