Baxter Careers Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Science (or equivalent).
- 2–3 years of hospital, patient care, or relevant pharmacovigilance experience preferred.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in regulatory or safety roles, is a plus.
- Strong medical and clinical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently under deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Role:
The Patient Safety team member will handle individual case safety reports (ICSRs) and act as a case owner for adverse event reports. The role ensures timely, accurate review, processing, quality control, and reporting of all safety data to support Baxter’s mission to provide safe and effective healthcare products.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review adverse event reports from all sources.
- Enter data accurately in the Pharmacovigilance Safety System.
- Write case narratives summarizing medical information for ICSRs.
- Code medical terms using standardized dictionaries like MedDRA.
- Request case investigations and follow up for additional medical information.
- Perform quality checks and case clean-up for aggregate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with worldwide and regional safety regulations.
- Collaborate with local affiliates and internal teams to maintain data quality.
