Fellowship Programs 2026: The Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCIRC) offers some of India’s most respected one-year oncology fellowship programs, designed to develop highly skilled cancer specialists across clinical, surgical, diagnostic, and interventional disciplines. Recognized by the Indian Medical Association–Academy of Medical Specialties (IMA-AMS), Hyderabad, these fellowships combine world-class training, advanced technology exposure, and mentorship from renowned oncologists.

Fellowship Programs 2026:

RGCIRC’s fellowship programs are structured to provide doctors with hands-on experience, advanced clinical understanding, and research exposure within one of Asia’s premier cancer centers. Each program is designed to upskill qualified medical professionals in a focused oncology discipline through a blend of clinical rotations, multidisciplinary tumour board participation, academic sessions, and supervised procedures. The fellowships emphasize evidence-based practice, ethical patient care, and continuous learning, preparing clinicians for leadership roles in oncology across India and abroad.

Fellowship Program 2026 Qualification & Eligibility:

One-year fellowship courses are recognized by the Indian Medical Association-Academy of Medical Specialties, Hyderabad. Admissions to Fellowship Courses in RGCIRC are done in the January session only.

Other Eligibility Conditions:

  • The candidate must be a lifetime member of any branch of I.M.A.
  • Preference will be given to sponsored candidates.
  • Registration with the Delhi Medical Council is a must.
  • Medical professionals with requisite qualifications, engaged in non-oncology practices, may be considered on the merit of their experience.

Course Fee:

Selected candidates will be charged a sum of Rs. 29500/- (including GST) at the time of joining the course. This amount is payable through a bank draft drawn in favor of I.M.A. Academy of Medical Specialties, payable at Hyderabad. This fee is not refundable if the candidate leaves the course in between. After admission, the candidate will have to take membership of the I.M.A. Academy of Medical Specialties, Hyderabad, on submission of the required fee.

Boarding/Lodging:

Accommodation is to be arranged by the candidate, as no accommodation is available in the institute. However, meal facilities are available through the F&B department on payment at prescribed rates.

Copies of Documents Required:

  • Certificate of Qualification, Experience,
  • Lifetime Membership of the Indian Medical Association (I.M.A.)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs.
  • ID Proof (Copy of Driving License/Passport/PAN Card)
  • Proof of Residence (Copy of Passport/Driving License/Voter Card).

Note: The fellowship program in Interventional Pulmonology and Thoracic Oncology is recognized by the Indian Association of Bronchology (IAB). Candidates applying for the fellowship are required to be members of the IAB.
