Eligibility Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited U.S. institution

  • Foreign graduates must have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates

  • Eligible for board certification

  • Completed at least one year of approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship

  • Completed a training program in general surgery

  • U.S. citizenship required for Active Duty

  • Permanent U.S. residency required for Army Reserve
