Job Description:

The Centre for Brain Research is seeking MD/DNB-qualified clinicians to contribute to its SANSCOG and TLSA ageing research programmes. Both positions involve working with senior study participants, conducting detailed medical, physical and neurological assessments, performing anthropometric measurements, and coordinating clinical research activities.

The SANSCOG role additionally involves overseeing investigations and analysing clinical and neuroimaging data. CBR describes SANSCOG as a rural longitudinal ageing cohort, while TLSA studies an urban Bengaluru cohort.

Key Responsibilities:

Across the CBR-SANSCOG and CBR-TLSA Clinician positions, selected doctors will primarily be responsible for:

  • Conducting medical assessments of study participants.
  • Performing complete physical examinations.
  • Conducting detailed neurological examinations.
  • Carrying out anthropometric assessments and measurements.
  • Working closely with senior/geriatric study participants.
  • Coordinating clinical and research activities.
  • Communicating effectively with study participants.
  • Coordinating with research teams and collaborative institutes.
  • Supporting the clinical components of longitudinal ageing research.
  • Maintaining accurate and systematic clinical/research information.
  • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary research teams.

Additional SANSCOG responsibility: The clinician will also oversee investigations and participate in the analysis of clinical and neuroimaging data.
