IIT Hyderabad invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a cutting-edge project exploring RNA-protein interaction networks in repeat expansion disorders. The JRF Vacancy involves experimental research, data analysis, and collaboration with the PI. Ideal candidates hold an MTech, MSc, BTech, BPharm, BVSc, or MBBS in Life Sciences/Biotechnology and have relevant molecular biology experience.
Details of the JRF Vacancy
- Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Project Title: Defining subcellular and disease-specific RNA-protein interaction networks underlying repeat expansion disorders using in vivo RNA-tagging and proximity labelling
- Job Description: To conduct project-related experimental research work, analyse and interpret data assigned by the PI.
- Funding Agency: Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India
- Duration of the Project: 10 months, with a possibility of further extension based on performance and funding availability
- Number of Vacancies: 1
Monthly Compensation:
- a) Rs. 37,000 + HRA for scholars selected through GATE/CSIR-UGC NET or any other national level examination
- b) Rs. 31,000 + HRA for scholars not falling under the above selection category
Minimum Eligibility Requirements: MBBS with minimum 60% marks
Note: Degree should have been awarded
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in molecular cloning, protein expression and purification
Age Limit: 28 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates)
