Job Description:
This lab technician job at AIIMS Delhi involves laboratory and clinical research support activities, including collection, processing, storage, documentation, and maintenance of biological samples while strictly following SOPs and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- 12th in Science + Diploma (MLT / DMLT or equivalent) with five years of experience in the relevant subject/field
OR - Three-year graduate degree in a relevant subject/field with two years of experience
Desirable:
- At least 1 year of experience in clinical trials/research projects/related field
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, seniors, and investigators
- Experience in handling clinical research samples
- Effective communication skills to provide timely information
Key Responsibilities:
- Collection of bio specimens/data of the enrolled participants
- Prepare kits and manage the receipt, processing, and storage of clinical samples
- Retrieve and maintain samples, ensuring adherence to standard procedures
- Preparation of all common laboratory reagents, including buffer and media
- Perform specimen processing as per defined SOPs
- Follow safety guidelines strictly as defined in SOPs
- Record laboratory test results and fill CRFs
- Look after routine laboratory requirements such as sterilization, cleaning glassware, and preparation of buffers
- Documentation of records related to receiving, storing, and retrieving study samples
- Assist in cost-related data collection under the guidance of PRS-1
- Upkeep of the laboratory and perform other duties as directed by the supervisor or Principal Investigator
