Educational Requirements (Any one)
- Medical Technologist (CFC holder)
- Pharmaceutical Biology Technologist (CFC holder)
- Medical Technologist (Swiss State School of Medical Technologists Degree)
- Medical Technologist (BTS, DUT, IUT Degree)
- Foreign Medical Technologist Degree with Swiss Red Cross equivalency
Experience Requirements
- Relevant experience in flow cytometry, with a strong focus on data analysis.
- Familiarity with analysis software such as FCSExpress, WinList, FlowJo, etc.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC practices and regulatory guidelines.
Role Overview
The Data Analyst – Flow Cytometry will be responsible for performing high-quality laboratory flow cytometry analysis, ensuring accuracy in test results, and supporting quality systems within the lab. This role involves detailed data review, troubleshooting assay issues, drafting documentation, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Flow Cytometry Analysis & Lab Operations
- Perform flow cytometry analysis with accuracy and within defined timelines.
- Retrieve and verify specimens against pending lists; document discrepancies.
- Conduct routine testing, troubleshooting, and quality validation procedures.
- Perform experiments for new calibrator/QC lot evaluations.
- Summarize investigation findings and prepare technical reports.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Execute QA/QC procedures following Westgard rules and Labcorp SOPs.
- Document QC results, deviations, biases, and corrective actions.
- Prepare accurate documentation for all activities, ensuring complete audit trails.
- Report and resolve inconsistencies in test results or reporting workflows.
- Ensure turnaround times meet Labcorp’s customer and compliance standards.
Training & Competency
- Maintain an updated training file and complete scheduled competency assessments.
- Assist in training new employees and validating their understanding of procedures.
- Attend all mandatory trainings and departmental meetings.
Client & Internal Collaboration
- Retrieve data for internal QA and client audits.
- Respond to audit findings and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding sample status, test results, and other operational needs.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory information systems and software tools.
- Support leadership with reports and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
