Laboratory Technician Jobs- Role:
The Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in performing routine and advanced diagnostic tests across Biochemistry, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology. The role requires hands-on expertise in laboratory operations, ensuring high-quality results, compliance with safety protocols, and consistent adherence to accuracy standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and analyze routine and specialized diagnostic tests in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Hematology.
- Ensure precise sample processing and adherence to quality control standards.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments, including ELISA analyzers and other diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain accurate records, document test results, and generate reports in accordance with lab protocols.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and participate in internal audits.
- Follow safety and infection control procedures to maintain a compliant lab environment.
- Stay current with diagnostic innovations and industry advancements.
Qualifications & Skills
- DMLT / BS in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in a diagnostic or hospital laboratory.
- Technical proficiency in Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Hematology, and ELISA techniques.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and digital data management.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical ability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Sound knowledge of laboratory safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
