Medical Safety Processes and Projects Manager – Overview
The Medical Safety Processes and Projects Manager position at Novartis combines expertise in medical safety operations and project management to address key pharmacovigilance (PV) needs. Reporting directly to the Head of Medical Safety Processes & Projects, this role is designed for professionals with strong leadership, analytical, and compliance skills.
The MS P&P Manager oversees operational planning, process development, and quality assurance across multiple medical safety initiatives. This position ensures inspection readiness, maintains high compliance standards, and drives continuous process improvement within the Medical Safety Operations (MSO) team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Medical Safety (MS) processes and IT systems.
- Conduct reviews to identify improvements, automations, and performance enhancements.
- Oversee compliance, risk identification, and inspection readiness.
- Manage process documentation, workflow updates, and training implementation.
- Support audits and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during pharmacovigilance inspections.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships by demonstrating Novartis’ values – Inspired, Curious, Unbossed, and Self-Aware.
Key Performance Indicators
- Timely delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
- Efficient management of PS&PV (Patient Safety & Pharmacovigilance) processes.

Qualifications & Experience for MBBS Jobs
- Advanced degree in Healthcare (MD, MBBS).
- At least 6 years of experience in project management or process ownership, including 3 years in a global role.
- Strong understanding of drug safety, pharmacovigilance, or clinical research.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI, and other tools.
