Medanta Careers—Role:
The Consultant–Gastroenterology at Medanta Ranchi will be responsible for the diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders. The role involves performing advanced endoscopic procedures, developing evidence-based treatment protocols, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. The consultant will also participate in academic and research initiatives, contributing to Medanta’s ongoing commitment to medical advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal and liver conditions.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
- Design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and families on preventive and therapeutic aspects of digestive health.
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists for coordinated patient management.
- Participate in training, academic sessions, and research programs within the department.
- Ensure high standards of clinical ethics, patient safety, and medical documentation.
Qualifications
- MBBS degree with MD/DNB in General Medicine and DM/DNB in Gastroenterology (essential).
- Proven clinical experience in managing complex gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders.
- Proficiency in upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
- Prior experience in a tertiary care or teaching hospital will be an advantage.
