Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Policy Responsibilities

  • Provide tactical and strategic medical inputs to Product Management for the ethical promotion of assigned products.
  • Offer medical expertise to support strategic business decisions.
  • Assist in developing medical development plans and brand strategies.

Medical Affairs & Operational Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of marketing plans and medico-marketing programs.
  • Assist in designing and implementing clinical programs and initiatives to improve patient access to medicines.
  • Develop, review, and approve promotional materials, training content, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) materials in compliance with company SOPs and industry regulations.
  • Participate in customer launch meetings, advisory boards, scientific symposia, institutional presentations, and educational programs for healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, review, and approve:
    • Clinical study protocols
    • Protocol synopsis
    • Investigator’s Brochure (IB)
    • Informed Consent Forms (ICF)
    • Patient Information Sheets
  • Support Phase IV studies, Post-Marketing Surveillance (PMS), observational studies, surveys, pharmacoeconomic studies, outcomes research, and other clinical projects.
  • Interpret clinical data and prepare study reports.
  • Develop publication strategies and review or write scientific manuscripts.
  • Execute information dissemination programs for clinical evidence.

Medical Information

  • Provide timely, balanced, accurate, and evidence-based medical information to:
    • Internal sales teams
    • Healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with relevant SOPs and organizational policies.

Sales Force Training

  • Conduct medical training programs for cross-functional teams.
  • Deliver product and therapy-area training.
  • Organize refresher training sessions for sales personnel.

New Product Planning & Development

  • Support business case preparation for global products.
  • Assist in market research and stakeholder mapping.
  • Support early access programs.
  • Provide medical evaluation for licensing, acquisitions, co-promotion opportunities, and business development initiatives.
  • Support development of local formulations and line extensions through scientific literature review and recommendations.

Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific support for product registration and new indications.
  • Deliver scientific presentations to regulatory authorities.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to support regulatory submissions.
  • Support defense of marketed products before regulators and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare, revise, and review labeling documents.
  • Provide medical support for processing spontaneous and solicited adverse event reports.

Organizational Responsibilities

Educational Requirements for the Medical Advisor Job:

  • MBBS or MD from a recognized medical institution.
  • Valid medical registration.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in:
    • Hemophilia
    • Hematology
    • Blood Disorders
  • Experience working with government and reimbursement accounts is preferred.
