About the Company:
Conceptualized in 2004 as a philanthropic initiative of the Tata Medical Centre Trust, Tata Medical Center began operations on May 16, 2011. The hospital is located on a 13-acre campus in New Town, Kolkata, and was designed by the North American architectural firm Cannon Design.
An integrated oncology facility, TMC houses 437 beds, with 75% of its infrastructure dedicated to subsidized care for underprivileged patients. The hospital offers a full continuum of oncology services—from diagnosis and therapy to rehabilitation and palliative care—while actively advancing academic and research initiatives in medical science and technology.
TATA Medical Center Careers—Role:
The selected candidate will become part of a distinguished hematology and oncology team that manages over 2,500 new hematologic cases annually and performs 80–90 hematopoietic cell transplants each year. The department is also at the forefront of commercial CAR T-cell therapy and participates in national and international CAR-T clinical trials. This role offers the chance to contribute to patient care, clinical trials, translational research, and academic mentorship, all within an environment known for collaboration, innovation, and excellence in hematologic oncology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care across outpatient, inpatient, daycare, bone marrow transplant (BMT), ICU, and emergency units for adult haematology patients.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary tumor boards and decision-making for hematologic disorders.
- Undertake teaching and mentorship responsibilities for fellowship and training program candidates.
- Contribute to clinical and translational research projects in collaboration with institutional and industry partners.
- Support administrative and departmental functions as assigned by hospital leadership.
Qualifications
Essential:

DM / DNB / Super Specialty Degree in Clinical Haematology or Medical Oncology, recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Desirable:

Prior training in bone marrow transplantation or graduation from a center conducting 15+ allogeneic transplants per year.
Experience
- Junior Consultant: Post-DM/DNB qualified candidates.
- Candidates with additional experience may be considered for senior or associate consultant roles.
