Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Medical Science Liaison – Oncology, Medical Affairs located in Chandigarh, India. The position requires a therapeutic area scientific expert to engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), discussing treatment trends, clinical trial data, and insights that support the medical strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary scientific face of the organization to KOLs in the oncology therapy area.
- Identify, map, and profile KOLs in the specified geography and therapy area on an ongoing basis.
- Engage identified KOLs through medical affairs initiatives aligned with the overall franchise plan in the Medical Science Liaison Job.
- Represent the therapeutic area for medical and scientific affairs on relevant cross-functional teams.
- Gather customer insights and convey them back to the franchise team.
- Process scientific information requests from Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
- Act as a scientific resource for the sales team, providing regular training and updates on the latest medical developments.
- Travel 70-80% of the time for interactions with customers and stakeholders.
Qualifications Required:
Medical graduate (MD/MBBS/BDS/MDS) or Pharmaceutical university Degree (PharmD or PhD).
Experience and Skills for the Medical Science Liaison Job:
- Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
- Good understanding of the medical affairs function.
- Knowledge of local regulatory policy and industry codes of practice related to drug registration, pharmaceutical promotion, and clinical research.
