Summary / Purpose of the Position
Main Responsibilities / Job Expectations
- Identify, develop, and manage peer-to-peer relationships with regional and national medical experts.
- Engage in ongoing scientific exchange about the science and clinical application of Rare Disease portfolio.
- Proactively identify potential research sites and assist in facilitation of clinical trials.
- Support the development of annual medical affairs plans and lead the implementation of a regional territory plan.
- Contribute to the identification of unmet medical needs in rare diseases.
- Develop and maintain scientific, clinical, and therapeutic expertise in rare diseases.
- Lead/participate in special project teams as necessary.
- Coordinate scientific activities with various internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience
- Education / Certifications: Doctoral level in the sciences required (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, DPT, Nursing or equivalent)
- Experience: 5 years related MSL work experience required.
- Key Technical Competencies Required:
- Excellent planning, presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain scientific relationships.
- Knowledge of PhRMA, OIG, and other guidelines.
- Fundamental understanding of clinical research.
- Strong leadership and collaboration capabilities.
Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is $171,900 – $210,100. Eligible for short-term and long-term incentives.
