Job Description:
Cooper University Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician for a full-time physician job with a blend of day and night shifts. The practice includes more than 150 physicians and APPs. Cooper University Health Care provides access to primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care services within one integrated system, making it one of the most comprehensive providers of medical services in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all duties of attending physician as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws
- Coordinate specialty consultations and resource utilization
- Admit and discharge patients in a timely manner
- Complete discharge instructions and medication reconciliation
- Dictate discharge summaries and share with family physicians and specialists
- Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and utilization management
- Perform life or limb-saving procedures as necessary
- Ensure compliance with Core Measure quality indicators
- Participate in housestaff teaching and academic activities
- Respond to PRN calls for evaluations and orders
