Job Description:

WJCF seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for the role of Senior Associate (Type 1 Diabetes) in New Delhi. This public health job involves close collaboration with India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to enhance systems for early diagnosis, treatment access, and care for individuals living with Type 1 Diabetes. The ideal candidate will lead stakeholder engagements, evidence generation, and provide technical assistance to the Ministry, translating data into actionable insights while fostering systemic change in public health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead WJCF’s technical support to MoHFW on the rollout of Diabetes Mellitus guidelines.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and implement training frameworks in coordination with Ministry teams.
  • Track rollout progress, identify bottlenecks, and develop real-time solutions.
  • Serve as the primary interface between Ministry officials and the WJCF T1D team.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across MoHFW and state health departments in the Public Health Job in Delhi.
  • Lead the program’s evidence generation workstream, including study design and data analysis.
  • Support program leadership in strategic planning, donor reporting, and stakeholder management at WJCF.
  • Collaborate with team members to model a data-driven, outcome-focused work culture.

Eligibility Criteria for the Public Health Job:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree with 5–8 years of post-qualification experience, including 2–3 years in public health program implementation.
  • Experience working with government health programs at the national or state level.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform program decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi preferred.

Required Skills for the Public Health Job:

  • Postgraduate specialization in Endocrinology, Pediatrics, or Public Health (MD/DNB/MPH) preferred.
  • Prior experience with international NGOs or multilateral organizations.
  • Experience with NCD or child health programs specifically.
  • Familiarity with MoHFW program structures and national NCD frameworks.
