- Location: Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai
- Travel: Dedicated in-field, 60-70% travel time
Purpose Statement:
The Regional Medical Expert is a trusted, externally focused, scientifically grounded partner within Roche’s customer engagement model. By building and maintaining deep and trusted connections with key customers, the RME will generate impact by optimizing medical practice and ensuring Roche’s position as a preferred partner in Ophthalmology.
Core Accountabilities & Competencies:
- Contributing with Medical Expertise
- Medical Expertise: Proactively contribute strong scientific, medical, and therapeutic area expertise within Ophthalmology.
- Shape Strategy: Lead the medical part of the integrated strategy and shape a scientifically sound value story locally.
- Proactive Customer Engagement & Insights
- Proactive Targeted Medical Engagement: Execute an HCP and account engagement plan aligned with medical strategy.
- Medical Partnership & Education: Build scientific relationships with HCPs and provide high-quality Medical Education.
- Insight Generation: Identify and translate external scientific insights into actionable recommendations.
- License to Operate & Operational Excellence
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with Roche SOPs and local regulations.
- Evidence Generation
- Evidence Strategy Implementation: Identify local evidence gaps and facilitate real-world evidence opportunities.
- Clinical Development Support: Support the identification of potential trial sites and investigators.
Regional Medical Expert Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Advanced degree (MBBS, MD) with a strong scientific foundation.
- Experience: 2–4 years’ experience in Medical Affairs or clinical practice, with prior field-based/MSL experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of clinical research and the Indian healthcare environment.
- Language: Fluency in English is essential.
