Job Description
Job Purpose:
As a Senior MSL, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining Bristol Myers Squibb as a trusted partner within the healthcare community and among internal stakeholders. You will be the primary medical and scientific expert for external audiences within your assigned territory, engaging in impactful peer-to-peer discussions with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and translating complex scientific information into valuable insights for patient care, particularly in the field of radiopharmaceutical therapy.

Job Responsibilities:
- Development of Relationships: Proactively build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including influential KOLs, leading researchers, and other key stakeholders, throughout the Northeast and Central geographical areas.
- Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrate and continuously enhance a deep understanding and proficiency in the specialized therapeutic area of Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (RPT).
- Therapeutic Area Expertise: Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in relevant oncology therapeutic areas and Bristol Myers Squibb products/compounds. This involves consistent review of pertinent scientific literature and active participation in key national and international scientific congresses.
- Travel Requirement: This is a field-based position requiring significant travel within the designated Northeast and Central regions. You should be willing and able to travel extensively, with an anticipated travel commitment of 50-70% of your time to effectively engage with key external stakeholders.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- Education: A Doctorate degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO) or an equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific or medical discipline is strongly preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of proven experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) within the oncology therapeutic area is essential. Prior experience with radiopharmaceutical products or solid tumor therapies will be highly advantageous.
- Skills: Possess exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, coupled with strong presentation abilities. You must have a demonstrated capacity to effectively translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, concise, and impactful information tailored to diverse audiences.

- Physical Demands: The role requires regular periods of sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and engaging in verbal communication (talking and hearing).
- Work Environment: The typical noise level in the general work environment is usually moderate.
Compensation:
The starting compensation range for this Senior Medical Science Liaison position is $164,900 – $199,800 annually, with the potential for additional incentive cash and stock opportunities. The final compensation package will be determined based on the selected candidate’s level of relevant experience and qualifications.
