Project Description:
The ICMR-REC Wilsonโs Disease Project aims to enhance the understanding and management of Wilsonโs disease, a hereditary disorder that leads to copper accumulation in the body, affecting the liver and brain. The study focuses on both newly diagnosed patients and those undergoing treatment for at least two years. The research will explore the role of copper metabolism in disease progression and treatment monitoring, with an emphasis on developing improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect and document detailed clinical data of enrolled patients.
- Enter and manage patient records in the project database.
- Coordinate and oversee laboratory tests, ensuring timely processing and accurate reporting.
- Conduct patient follow-ups for clinical assessments and research continuity.
- Assist in writing research reports, scientific papers, and grant proposals if required.
- Work closely with the research team, clinicians, and laboratory staff to ensure the smooth execution of the study.
Skills & Competencies Required:
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to assess patient conditions.
- Basic understanding of research methodologies and clinical trial protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organizational and communication skills for patient interactions and documentation.
- Proficiency in handling electronic medical records (EMR) and data management software.
