Job Description:
The Project Scientist-I (Medical) will be responsible for overseeing research activities related to the implementation of the Pregnancy Referral Chain project. This role involves conducting field visits, coordinating with healthcare providers, and ensuring the collection of qualitative and quantitative data. The candidate will also be tasked with preparing reports and maintaining data integrity throughout the project’s duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake field visits to PHCs, CHCs, and other healthcare facilities for implementation of research activities.
- Conduct facility assessments using prescribed checklists.
- Coordinate with medical officers and healthcare providers for data collection.
- Conduct qualitative interviews with healthcare providers and pregnant women.
- Collect, verify, and document data from participating facilities.
- Prepare and maintain zone-wise data and annual report writing.
- Perform any other research-related duties assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Eligibility Criteria for the Medical Research Scientist Job:
- Essential: MBBS or BDS/BAMS with MPH or a related field
- Desirable: Prior experience in supervising data collection in research projects, knowledge in implementation and qualitative research, willingness to visit PHCs, good communication and writing skills, proficiency in Tamil language.
