Job Description

The Department of Plastic surgery is presently involved in the diagnosis and management of skin malignancies and Sarcoma, reconstruction of Head & Neck malignancies, post mastectomy Breast reconstruction, and gynecological reconstructions amongst others. Microsurgical composite tissue transfers form the foundation of most of these reconstructions. Multi disciplinary sessions, teaching sessions form the other aspects of training.

The Plastic Surgery Fellowship program is for ONE year extendable to TWO, and provides exposure to diagnosis, planning, microsurgical composite tissue transfers, in a wide spectrum of patients.

The department is presently manned by three consultants, three post-doctoral plastic surgery fellows and two post graduate fellows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient care (Diagnosis, planning and management)

  • Assisting in surgical procedures.

  • Independent surgery under supervision.

  • Data management & presentation

  • Participation in Multi disciplinary meetings, scientific presentations in hospital and outside.

  • Participate in Scientific research and Publications

Qualification: Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (MS General Surgery/MCh. Plastic Surgery/DNB Surgery or DNB Plastic Surgery/FRCS Plastic Surgery from any recognized University)
