Role Overview:
The PV Country Head is responsible for managing Pharmacovigilance (PV) activities in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. The role ensures compliance with local and international safety regulations and safeguards Bayer’s medical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the PV team across countries
- Collaborate with local and global PV organizations
- Manage Safety Management Plan development and interventions.
- Oversee delegated tasks with the PV Regional Centre (PVRC).
- Provide guidance on PV matters and handle local safety crises.
- Review PV components in domestic study protocols and consents.
- Evaluate local patient programs for PV compliance.
- Represent Bayer’s PV system locally and report changes to PVRC.
- Escalate safety matters to protect patient safety.
- Review medical literature and analyze regulatory contexts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and oversee adverse event reporting.
Candidate Requirements:
- Advanced life sciences degree (preferably MD)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or pharmacovigilance
- Experience in managing multicultural teams and complex projects
- Ability to take personal responsibility and accountability
- Experience of leading and contributing to teams across cultures and geographies (if applicable).
- Experience in development and authorship of complex PV documents
- Experience of working across and building effective working relationships between functions.
- Organized, able to multi-task effectively.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal communication skills).
- Collaborative, team-oriented, flexible.
- Knowledge in Pharmacovigilance relevant regulations.
