KIMS Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and motivated cardiothoracic/thoracic surgeon with a special interest in heart and lung transplantation and advanced mechanical circulatory support. This is a full-time, on-site position based at KIMS Hospital, Minister Road, Secunderabad. The role involves performing cardiothoracic surgeries, participating in advanced transplant programs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver superior surgical and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries and participate in heart and lung transplant procedures.
- Manage mechanical circulatory support systems such as LVAD and ECMO in coordination with the transplant team.
- Travel to regional centers and outreach sites across India to conduct or assist in surgical programs.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, pulmonologists, perfusionists, and transplant support staff.
- Contribute to clinical research, publications, and academic presentations.
- Represent KIMS Hospitals at national and international transplant forums.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MCh or equivalent qualification in cardiothoracic surgery from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience in CTVS surgeries, including complex and transplant-related procedures.
- Ability and willingness to travel and operate across multiple centers as part of outreach programs.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with an understanding of multidisciplinary transplant care.
- Valid registration with the relevant medical council in India.
