The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a key scientific bridge between Bayer and the medical community. The MSL engages with thought leaders, medical societies, and healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge, disseminate research data, and provide expert medical insights. Key Responsibilities
Primary Activities:
- Facilitate scientific exchange and education by engaging with thought leaders (TLs) through proactive and reactive interactions.
- Disseminate and clarify clinical data, study results, and research findings within regulatory and ethical frameworks.
- Collaborate with medical societies and support or participate in advisory boards.
- Represent Bayer at conferences and scientific meetings, establishing networks and gathering insights on competitive intelligence.
- Plan and conduct scientific training sessions for healthcare professionals and internal teams.
- Contribute to strategic TL identification, profiling, and engagement planning.
- Maintain accurate activity reports and performance tracking against defined goals.
Secondary Activities:
- Provide external scientific training and education to support ongoing medical initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Natural Sciences, Medicine, Dentistry, or Allied Health Sciences (MD/MBBS/BAMS/BDS/MDS).
- Foundational understanding of therapeutic areas, molecular mechanisms, and clinical trial design.
- Strong ability to interpret scientific literature and communicate complex data effectively.
- Excellent presentation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in written and spoken English; strong command of professional communication.
