MSD Careers Qualification:
- Advanced degree, such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an MSL or medical affairs specialist in oncology.
- Strong understanding of solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, biomarkers, and clinical oncology pathways.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, discuss, and present clinical trial data effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
Role:
The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Oncology) is responsible for advancing scientific engagement, building trusted relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and supporting the execution of medical strategies aligned with global oncology priorities. The role contributes to evidence generation, informs clinical development through field insights, and enhances the scientific acumen of internal and external stakeholders. This position requires deep oncology expertise, excellent communication skills, and strong strategic capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scientific Exchange & KOL Engagement
- Identify, engage, and nurture collaborative relationships with leading oncologists, hematologists, and scientific experts.
- Conduct balanced, evidence-driven scientific discussions aligned with compliance guidelines.
- Support advisory boards, CMEs, and scientific forums to enhance disease-area education.
2. Medical Strategy & Insight Generation
- Execute country-level medical affairs plans aligned with regional and global strategies.
- Collect, analyze, and communicate actionable field insights to inform clinical development and lifecycle management.
- Support Real-World Evidence (RWE) initiatives and investigator-initiated studies.
3. Launch & Education Support
- Provide scientific leadership for oncology product launches and lifecycle activities.
- Deliver training to internal stakeholders on disease-state knowledge and evolving data.
- Collaborate on scientific content creation for HCPs, events, and internal teams.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access, and Commercial teams to support integrated oncology strategies.
- Contribute to medical planning, evidence generation priorities, and healthcare ecosystem initiatives.
5. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full adherence to ICH-GCP, local regulatory guidelines, and internal SOPs.
- Document scientific interactions and field insights accurately in the required systems.
- Report adverse events, product complaints, and safety information promptly.
