Job Summary
The Project Coordinator/Project Manager will organise and monitor all project activities (field and office) based on the Learning Initiative on Diets and Vitamin A and D Status and Intervention Programs in multiple states. He/she will work closely with the PI and co-PIs, train, monitor, and supervise all study staff to ensure successful implementation. Responsibilities include networking with officials, state governments, funding agencies, and communities; facilitating approvals; developing study protocols and data collection forms; managing procurement; and supporting research team meetings. The coordinator will prepare progress updates, minutes, research reports, and manuscripts.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Implementation
- Plan, organise, and oversee day-to-day project activities at the central and field levels
- Ensure timely implementation of project milestones in line with objectives
- Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and reporting frameworks
- Track project expenses and ensure proper utilisation of funds
Coordination & Supervision
- Supervise and build the capacity of project staff and field teams
- Coordinate with technical partners, state governments, and other stakeholders
- Facilitate approvals and collaborations with institutions and government departments
Research & Technical Support
- Support the development of research protocols, survey tools, and data collection instruments
- Monitor sentinel site surveys, household line listing, and dietary assessments
- Lab coordination and quality control processes
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Track progress on project outputs and outcomes, ensuring compliance with donor/funder requirements
- Compile data summaries; prepare periodic progress reports, technical briefs, and manuscripts
Knowledge Management
- Support the preparation of academic publications
- Prepare presentations and dissemination of project outcomes
- Assist in the dissemination of findings through workshops, publications, and policy briefs
